Globe thistles are a very drought-resistant blue perennial that produce spherical blue or purple flowers in the mid to late summer.
Once it gets going, this plant is low maintenance, drought-resistant and its somewhat prickly foliage is a deterrent to deer and rabbits.
The blooms provide some color to the late summer garden, attract butterflies and are also great for using in dried flower arrangements…a very versatile plant!
