With their colorful blooms from late spring to summer and evergreen foliage in hues like lime and purple, Coral Bells are a low maintenance perennial that attracts bees and butterflies, and resists deer and rabbits. The perfect plant for the front of any shade garden.

Commonly called Coral Bells, Heuchera foliage provides great color in the shade garden.
The leaves come in a range of hues from almost black, dark purple, chartreuse, peach and orange and have an interesting lobed shape.
This plant has plumes of little flowers that usually appear in the spring. But it is mainly grown for its beautiful foliage.
It does not like to be planted too deep, so set the crown at ground level.
Heuchera is a relatively short-lived perennial unless they are divided every 3 to 4 years.
It was named the National Garden Bureau Perennial of the Year in 2012.
